CPU
Why I went with this CPU
For the CPU, I went with the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor. I originally wanted to go with the Ryzen 5 7600X, since the Ryzen 7 7700X is a bit overkill for my 1440P gaming, espically since the Ryzen 7700X just adds more cores, which aren’t the most useful for gaming (except if you are streaming). However, I was looking into Micro Center bundles and got a good price for the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM bundle. They did not have a 7600X but they did have a Ryzen 5 5600X. The Ryzen 5 5600X was a bit cheaper, however, the Ryzen 5600X still used the AM4 platform, and I wanted to have an AM5 platform for a new build.
Performance
Performance is very good for this cpu. At its 4.5 GHZ speed, it is an extremly fast processes, and I rarely see the CPU usage go above 30%.
